    Captain Philo Holbrook was for sixteen years on the sea and in command of a vessel sailing between New Haven and West Indies. He was one of the original stockholders of Seymour Savings Bank in 1852; was Justice of Peace, 1852-1858. He was also one of the selectman in 1855-1865. Representative in Legislature in 1869. ... He was engaged in agriculture and died on the farm where he had lived since his second marriage.
