Nathan Pearsons of Derby was Lieutenant. & one [Peitro], (whose first name he does not recollect) was that of the Ensign was orderly Sergeant. They were stationed in the City of New Haven & served as guards during said term.
The applicant was several times ordered out on Sudden Alarms during the war. But he cannot particularly specify. Sometimes he was detained no longer than to get part of the way to Milford & sometimes a few days.
He was born in Derby in that part which is since the town of Oxford on the 16th day of December 1760 & has always lived in said town.
